I just completed another book titled “Non-Obvious Mega Trends”. Author Rohit Bhargava focuses on seeing what no one else sees, and helping his readers do the same. Per the Amazon abstract, in the past ten years, his signature annual Non-Obvious Trend Report has helped over a million readers discover more than 100 trends changing our culture. The opening section focuses on the art of non-obvious thinking. From there, he explores the five mindsets of non-obvious thinkers, and reviews his Haystack Method for curating non-obvious Ideas.

The bulk of the book focuses on his 2020 non-obvious mega trends. They are:

  • Amplified Identity
  • Ungendering
  • Instant knowledge
  • Revivalism
  • Human mode
  • Attention wealth
  • Purposeful profit
  • Data abundance
  • Protective tech
  • Flux commerce

The backend of the book reviews his past mega trends dating back to 2011. He provides a grade for each trend to assess how they fared over the years. Rohit is the founder of the Non-Obvious Company and the Wall Street Journal bestselling author of six books. Some very good foresight in these mega trends. I have added the book to my Library.
